Checklist for the mover / new tenant

  • Fill out the "Notification of Move" a week after moving in, at the latest. At the earliest, it can be done one month before moving in.
  • Have your post come to your new address and inform your new address to those companies that send you bills.
  • Take on a new insurance policy for the home or transfer your previous insurance to the new address.
  • If you are entitled to housing allowance or student housing assistance, file your application in time.
  • If you have children, find out about the situation on schools and daycare issues.
  • Inform your new address to the customer service of the newspapers that you subscribe to.
  • Make sure that the transfer of the Internet subscription happens in time to prevent breaks in Internet service use.
  • Make a new electricity agreement when you cancel the old one.
  • Reserve a moving van or trailer in time.
  • If possible, find out in time, the schedule of the tenant moving out so that you can plan your moving schedule
